Principal's Message From Paul Peacock

Dear Mustang Community:

It is an honor to be given the opportunity to take over the reins of the Mustangs at Indian Trails Middle School.  During my twenty-three years as a professional educator, I have served in the capacity of teacher, coach, and for the past fourteen years, assistant principal.  It is my desire to continue the tradition of excellence at Indian Trails, the best middle school in the state of Florida.

I am pleased to report that Indian Trails and the rest of the schools in Flagler County were recently evaluated during the AdvancEd Accreditation Process.  This process involved the critical evaluation of our vision, strategies, priorities, leadership, programs and resources. We have received the recommendation of continued accreditation through the year 2018, which is no small accomplishment.  All of the Mustang community should be proud.

On Friday, June 7, 2013, the .5 mill referendum will go before the voters of Flagler County.  The opportunity to return forty-five minutes of instructional time for students in our middle and high schools each day will have a positive impact on raising student achievement. We appreciate your vote.

FCAT is behind us for another year. I know our scholars and professional educators worked hard in preparation for the assessments.  Student  results are typically available mid summer.  Watch the marquee and website for information on pick-up dates and other upcoming activities.

As we enter the fourth quarter, we ask that all of our scholars remain focused and continue to model the Big 3.  We expect to have a strong finish to a great year.

Yours in Education,

Paul Peacock, Principal
